Mindfulness and Meditation

Be mindful, be well, be here and now.

Mindfulness is being aware of your body, your thoughts, your feelings, and the world around you. Mindfulness is about being in the moment.

The more mindful you are, the easier it is to balance the many aspects that affect your overall well-being. With the new stresses, experiences, and challenges college students face everyday, it can be difficult to remain mindful.

That’s why we offer resources and information to help you stay balanced and in the moment. For example, you might:

  • Attend Mindful Mondays, once-a-month, one-hour workshops where you’ll explore topics ranging from Mindful Eating to Mindful Goal Setting in a fun and educational environment.
  • Attend a Zen Meditation session, every Thursday from 5:15 to 6:15, Sondra J. Byrnes facilitates a Zen Meditation session in the Meditation Room (102 Coleman-Morse Center). By self-regulating your thoughts and clearing your mind, you can achieve peace, serenity, and reduce stress.
  • Snite Museum ‘Sanctuary Series’ encourages you to live mindfully and reflect on what you find most important in life.
