Drink Equivalencies
All drinks are not created equal.
Because of their varying alcohol content, what constitutes a single “drink” of beer, wine, or liquor varies greatly. Remember, one drink equals one of the following measurements:
- 1.25 oz. 80 proof liquor/mix
- 12 oz. beer
- 7 oz. malt liquor
- 4-5 oz. wine
- 10 oz. wine cooler

How much is in your cup?
- A Solo cup can hold 1⅓ beers.
- A large glass of wine can hold 8-10 ounces (2 servings); a Solo cup holds 15-16 ounces (3 servings).
- A Solo cup of “jungle juice” or punch can equal 4-6 drinks. If Everclear is used in the mix, it can double the effect.
The bottom line: always make and measure your own drink. And of course, drink responsibly.
